Four Things Meme

Rising to the challenge set down by the owner of the best cyber Café in town, I give you the Four Things Meme. Not really a challenge I know, but hey, I've got a list of other things I should be doing and this looks like more fun...

Four jobs I've had in my life:

Safeway cashier - fastest scanner in the whole of Maidstone
Argos Christmas Temp. Also 'shop floor supervisor from Head Office'.
Field Service Engineer - 60,000 miles in 9 months. Fun, but for bugger all money
IT Manager - for varying pay and employers.

Four movies I can watch over and over:

The Italian Job. 'You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!'
Aladdin. 'Did you rub my lamp? Did you wake me up? You're gettin' your wishes, now SI'DOWN!
Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. 'If I'm not back in five minutes, just wait longer!'
Star Wars. All six, back to back.

Four places I have lived:

Kensington - This one should read Bickley, but Kensington sounds much, much better :-)
Hampstead - Sort of. Halls of residence on Finchley Road. Excellent fun, and I got to run the bar, work security, go on drugs raids, learn how to do tech support, eat Jaffa Cakes, and generally be in charge of people for the first time
Streatham - Sharing with Miss Casey and Mr Owen. Great fun, but sod all to do there.
Croydon - Fabulous place to live/work/shop, despite what other people say.

Four things I'm on the verge of learning:

Cycling on black ice isn't fun - When I started this entry I was on the verge of learning this. Now I know this.
How to annoy someone in Portuguese - Vital in my current environment :-)
What it's like to be a multi-millionaire - Yeah, right!
How to sell a house and buy a new one. - That's right folks, we're on the move!

Four things I've done to try to impress a member of the opposite sex:

Parle en français - it must have worked... she let me marry her granddaughter :-)
Not drop her brother. - first time I met the youngest Casey he was about 10 or 11. I held him by his ankle (singluar) over a 30 foot drop and didn't drop him.
Joined an ailing university society - we threw a party and bankrupted the society by selling just 6 tickets. The candyfloss was a hit though!
Agreed to meet her parents. - 8-|

Four nationalities I've been mistaken for:

Australian - happens a lot. The strangest was an Aussie who asked which part of Oz I was from...
New Zealander - spin off from above. 'You're not Aussie?! You must be from NZ then!'
Chinese - it was once, a very long time ago and I was pulling a face while smiling. Also the guy was a little on the simple side.
English - No, really!

Four places I would rather be right now:

Bed - need to catch up on some sleep
[Insert name of motor racing circuit] - Not fussed which, although it would have to be in a fast car
In the arms of the one I love!
Snorkelling - only done it properly once. This time I would take a camera.

Four bloggers whom I shall try and pass this memetic-infection to:

DM - too busy with study and little people though.
James - I figure he's got to bow to pressure one day...
Gerald - from dangled by an ankle to pestered by me. He has too much time on his hands anyway.
KT - No blog, but she can write in the comments until she sets one up...

Does this page look a bit naff to you? Well your browser looks a bit naff to me!

May we recommend a Version 6 browser? Netscape and Internet Explorer should work without too many problems. Thanks. --JD
